A rockabilly and rock and roll trio with vocals, guitar, double bass and drums, playing original songs in Spanish.
General Lee are a rockabilly and rock and roll trio featuring Manu Heredia on vocals and guitar, Oscar Calleja on double bass, and Arturo García on drums. Their sound draws on 1950s rhythms, delivered with a punchy, contemporary edge, alongside influences from the swing bands of the 1930s and 1940s.
The band play a 90-minute show designed to get the audience involved. The set encourages people to sing and dance, mixing original songs in Spanish with familiar versions of classic tracks. This blend gives the performance its own character while keeping recognisable songs in the mix.
Formed in 1990, General Lee have released four studio recordings. Their career includes concerts across Spain and appearances in the media. Founder Manu Heredia writes the band’s original material and has also worked as a session musician, songwriter for other artists and guitarist on musical projects. Oscar Calleja and Arturo García bring experience from other groups to the trio.
The three-piece line-up and dance-friendly set can work well for parties, private celebrations and events looking for a roots-inspired rock concert. It is a lively option built around guitar, double bass and drums, with songs that invite audience participation.
