Accordion, keyboard and vocals combine in a duo playing classical, popular and dance music for events across Spain.
Galudy is a musical duo featuring Gala on accordion and Dimitri on keyboard and vocals. Both are professional musicians who trained as accordion performers at the Kyiv Conservatory. The act was formed in Spain and travels throughout the country for performances.
The accordion takes centre stage, supported by keyboard and vocals. Galudy can provide its own sound and lighting equipment. The venue needs a stage and a 220 V power supply, and the duo can play for around six hours continuously.
The repertoire ranges from waltzes, French musettes and tangos to classical works by Bach, Handel and Vivaldi. For dancing, the duo plays pasodobles, rumbas, cumbias, merengues, salsa and cha-cha-cha, alongside songs associated with Enrique Iglesias, Luis Fonsi, Álvaro Soler, Rosario Flores and Gipsy Kings. Listed pieces include «Libertango», «Bamboleo», «La Bamba» and sevillanas.
The mix of styles works for weddings, local fiestas, banquets, private events and cultural celebrations. Galudy has performed at international and folk music festivals, summer cultural evenings in Isla Cristina, banquets and exhibitions.
