Gabriela Castillo and Fabián Nesprías perform original songs shaped by Argentine and Latin American roots and stories of resilience.
Argentine singer and guitarist Gabriela Castillo performs with guitarist and composer Fabián Nesprías. Together they present La vida para cantar, a collection developed through an exchange of lyrics, melodies and arrangements between Valencia and Patagonia.
The set brings together eleven original songs inspired by people Gabriela met while volunteering in hospitals and care centres. The stories include patients, children and people experiencing homelessness, approached with a poetic perspective that makes room for both hardship and hope.
The music draws on tango and Argentine and Latin American folk, alongside bolero, jazz and bossa. This listening focused performance can suit cultural programmes, music events, charity gatherings and private occasions looking for a thoughtful live set.
The duo features Gabriela on vocals and guitar, with Fabián on guitar. The sound setup requires connections for two guitars and a vocal microphone, plus a four to six input mixing desk, amplifiers, microphone stand and music stand.
