Flowmenco brings together pop-rock with flamenco touches and influences from traditional music, copla and jota. The line-up shifts during the performance: at times, as many as six musicians take the stage; elsewhere, the sound becomes more intimate, with voice and instrumental accompaniment.
The instrumentation varies too. The band may use a conventional drum kit, congas, a flamenco cajón, ukulele and bandurria, alongside electric, Spanish and electro-acoustic guitars. These changes create room for both fuller, more energetic passages and quieter moments.
In the smaller arrangement, Luengo's lead vocals are accompanied by cajón and Spanish guitar. The musical palette draws on pop-rock fusion and its links with flamenco and the traditional styles named by the band, including copla and jota.
