A trio of vocals, piano or guitar and drums performing bossa nova, samba, choro and other Brazilian styles.
Elena Tovar Brazilian Suite presents a live set built around covers of leading Brazilian popular music composers. The performance suits gatherings where guests can enjoy a carefully played programme spanning a range of Brazilian sounds.
The usual line-up is a trio of vocals, piano or guitar, and drums. A set lasts approximately an hour and a half, bringing together songs familiar to a broad audience and less familiar pieces.
The musical selection can encompass bossa nova, samba, choro, MPB, ijexá and baião. These styles give the performance a varied rhythmic and melodic character.
The trio can be considered for weddings, private parties, corporate events and other gatherings where Brazilian music is a good fit. Its compact line-up and approximate running time make it possible to plan the concert around the rest of the event.
