El Mago Albert performs an hour of participatory parlour magic for adults and children aged four and over.
El Mago Albert presents “Sim Sala Bim”, an approximately one-hour parlour magic show for adults and children aged four and over. The performance draws on the spirit of early twentieth-century magic, refreshed for today, and invites the audience to take part.
The act unfolds through audience-involving effects. Cards travel and reveal thoughts, coloured confetti is separated, a magical turban is revealed, and slates predict answers. There is also a shredded banknote, Siamese bananas and a tree associated with the family show. The thread running through the performance is old-fashioned magic, presented in a parlour format.
Albert has been part of the Barcelona circle of the Spanish Society of Illusionism since 1995 and has performed regularly at its galas. His experience includes theatres, hotels, restaurants and cultural venues, as well as a performance in Paris and at a community pharmacy congress. In 2012 he received the Pablo Doménech Close-up Magic Award from the Barcelona circle of the society.
“Sim Sala Bim” works well at weddings, family celebrations, school parties and corporate events looking for a shared live activity. Albert brings his props and a small occasional table; he can also provide a lapel microphone if needed.
