Madrid guitarists Pablo San Nicasio Ramos and Alberto Espejo Pedernera play classical, flamenco, jazz and bossa nova at public and private events.
Madrid-based guitarists Pablo San Nicasio Ramos and Alberto Espejo Pedernera make up this Spanish guitar duo. Both are experienced, well-trained musicians and guitar teachers. Their live music can accompany wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, corporate celebrations, recitals and other public or private occasions.
The core performance features two guitars, with music spanning classical, flamenco, jazz and bossa nova, as well as film soundtracks. The line-up can be expanded to include cajón, flamenco or operatic vocals, flute, saxophone, violin and other instruments, depending on the event.
The programme draws on works by Paco de Lucía, Isaac Albéniz, Francisco Tárrega, Joaquín Rodrigo, J. S. Bach and F. Mendelssohn. Flamenco styles include alegrías, bulerías, tangos, soleá and taranta. Pieces may include Entre dos Aguas, Zyryab, Concierto de Aranjuez and Recuerdos de la Alhambra.
This guitar-led format suits wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, corporate events and recitals. The duo brings its own sound equipment and microphones. They require three armless chairs and a power socket within ten metres; if the venue has suitable equipment, its use can be discussed.
