Distrito Pop are a three-piece cover band devoted to Spanish pop-rock, with songs familiar to several generations. Their set spans music from the 1980s onwards, pairing well-known melodies with a confident live sound. They suit events looking for a live band and a catalogue of songs guests can sing along to.
The band features Miguel de la Cruz on electric guitar and vocals, Juan Luis González on drums, and Antonio López on electric bass and vocals. They have a small sound system of their own. The musicians bring experience from pop and rock bands; bassist and singer Antonio López has also worked in other styles and with artists including Malú and Hilario Camacho.
The set draws on artists such as El Último de la Fila, Radio Futura, Los Rodríguez, La Guardia, Sabina, Fito, Extremoduro, Los Suaves, Rosendo and M-Clan. Songs include «La chica de ayer», «20 de abril», «Insurrección» and «Carolina».
Distrito Pop can provide live music for town fiestas, private celebrations and corporate events seeking popular Spanish rock and pop. For weddings, the band offers a live alternative to recorded music during the celebration.
