Deux à la Tâche present Crack Up Show, a comic stage magic act built around two contrasting characters: an arrogant, obsessive magician and his inexperienced, naive assistant. Their awkward relationship fuels misunderstandings and gags before the show reaches a tender, moving ending. The duo consists of Roberto Tanner and Pamela Democrito.
Unexpected appearances and disappearances, deceptive levitations, chaotic tricks and surprising manipulations are woven into the performance. The humour comes from both the magic and the friction between the characters. The assistant’s childlike curiosity also gives the act its own view of wonder: magic can be found by anyone who takes time to look, listen and notice.
