DeG pair voice and guitar in an intimate jazz and blues set of international songs, original material and improvisation.
DeG bring together singer Dana Andrews and guitarist Gianni Piras in an intimate format built around the exchange between voice and guitar. Their project, «El Alma en la Voz», gives the performers room to shape each song and improvise, while keeping the audience close to the music.
The act can perform as a duo, with voice and guitar, or expand to a trio with Daniel Stoker on double bass. Jesús Aranda is also listed on electric guitar, and a quintet option is available. The small-format setup suits venues where listeners can enjoy the detail of the performance.
The set combines international songs, standards and original material in five languages. Its sound draws on jazz and blues, with melodic phrasing and a guitar part shaped by rhythm and swing. Listed songs include «Summertime», «Georgia on My Mind», «Route 66», «La vie en Rose», «Bésame mucho» and «Dos Gardenias».
DeG can provide live music for weddings, private celebrations, corporate events, festivals and concerts in small venues. The close-up format and scope for improvisation are a good fit when you want live music with an attentive, relaxed feel.
