Damon Robinson performs soul, jazz and R&B with a distinctive voice, from solo sets to sextet and Big Band shows.
Californian singer Damon Robinson, a finalist on La Voz, brings a distinctive voice and energetic stage presence to a varied live set. He can perform solo, with a sextet or with a Big Band, giving organisers a choice of format to discuss for their venue and event. The show can suit weddings, company events, conferences, festivals and parties looking for a polished vocal performance.
The show is available with different ensembles. Musicians include Antonio Molina on guitar, Popi González on drums, Jon Ander Sandé on Hammond and Dani Levy on bass; Cheluis Salmerón handles sound. The final set-up is agreed for each performance, with technical requirements coordinated with the event’s production team.
The programme combines original material, familiar covers and songs Damon performed on La Voz. It also draws on jazz, soul and funk classics, alongside tracks from his albums. Covers include “Lean On Me”, “Stand By Me”, “My Girl”, “Superstition” and “When A Man Loves A Woman”. His influences include Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Seal and Gregory Porter.
The refined style can work well for weddings, conferences and company celebrations, as well as festivals and parties with a broad audience. Organisers can discuss a solo performance or a larger ensemble to match the event.
