A tango quartet featuring accordion, voice, guitar, violin and double bass, performing as a concert or with dance couples.
Cuarteto Tango Querido brings the popular music of the Río de la Plata to cultural programmes and celebrations. The group established itself in Spain in 2002. Anne Landa plays accordion; Pablo Mezzelani sings, plays guitar and arranges the music; Pedro Aguinaga is on violin; and Víctor Sánchez plays double bass.
The quartet’s concert centres on the poetry and music of tango. The performance can also feature one or more dance couples, adding dance to the live music.
The repertoire draws on tango and popular Río de la Plata music. Accordion, voice, guitar, violin and double bass shape the quartet sound, with dancers available as part of the event format.
The act can suit cultural programmes, theatre performances, private celebrations and corporate events looking for live tango. For local festivals, organisers can choose a concert or a performance that also includes dance couples.
