Street theatre featuring a Chinese dragon over seven metres long, a lion, musicians, dancers and fire performers for parades and events.
El Taller de las Ideas Prodigiosas, also known as eTip, presents street theatre featuring giant puppets inspired by Asian traditions. The performance brings together a Chinese dragon over seven metres long, a red and gold Chinese lion, musicians, dancers and fire performers. The company was founded by master puppeteer Ortegamun and is based in Murcia.
The dragon travels through the streets in pursuit of the pearl of wisdom, accompanied by the lion and the rest of the performers. The staging draws on the Dragon Dance and blends cultural influences. The company can also incorporate its giant puppets into events and design street theatre for celebrations and conventions. Giant dragons and lions are available to hire, and puppets can be designed and built to commission.
This is an option for Chinese New Year, festivals, street processions and large parades. It can also create a striking visual moment at corporate events, including those without an Oriental theme. The company’s dragons and lions have appeared at the Vinaròs Carnival, a Three Kings Parade organised by the Concello de Pontedeume, and parades in Murcia, Valencia, A Coruña and other parts of Spain.
