A rock band shaped by 1970s hard rock, funk, soul, experimental rock and indie influences.
ComalcOOL is a rock band built for live concerts. Their songs tell individual stories and take varied forms, with passages that may bring different influences to mind depending on how you hear them.
The band describes one of its main influences as “Vintage Rock”, drawing on groups from the 1970s. Its wider mix includes hard rock, symphonic rock, funk, soul, experimental rock and indie, as well as inspiration from contemporary bands.
The tracks do not all follow the same pattern: each develops its own story and structure. That variety gives a live set room for shifts in mood and musical detail from one song to the next.
