Cantores de Híspalis bring popular sevillanas to festivals, parties and events.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Cantores de Híspalis are a leading group in sevillanas, with a career closely associated with bringing the genre to a wide audience. Their music can provide a familiar sevillanas set for festivals, celebrations and events where the style is part of the occasion.
Popular songs include «A bailar, a bailar» and «Tócala, Tócala». Other repertoire titles include «El autobús de la primavera», «Al pie del Guadalquivir», «Barrio de Santa Cruz», «De aquella feria», «Quiero cruzar la bahía», «Dame tu mano» and «Que vivan las sevillanas».
The group began with protest songs. After they added a sevillana to one concert, audiences began asking for more of the style, and their second album focused on sevillanas. «El carrusel de la alegría» began a period of major popularity, while «Adelante» was the best-selling album of 1984.
Their popularity reached beyond Spain, with number one positions in 46 countries. The group has received five diamond discs. They are also known as «Los Beatles de las sevillanas», a nickname linked to the cover of «Superandalucía».
Their music suits fairs and parties looking for live sevillanas and songs audiences know. To enquire about booking, share the event and venue details.
