A solo concert-theatre performance in which Miguel Tubía plays nine characters, with original music, projections and stage lighting.
Miguel Tubía presents a concert-theatre piece inspired by the world of Federico García Lorca. As the sole performer, he brings nine characters from Bodas de sangre to life through voice, visuals and stage lighting.
The music, composed by Miguel Tubía between 2020 and 2022, accompanies original text by Lorca rather than a verbatim version of the play. The voice is performed live, with a recorded orchestra; a live orchestra is also available as an option. The staging includes projections and a lighting design that can be adapted to more modest technical facilities than those listed in the original rider. This is not a flamenco show.
The 80-minute performance brings theatre and music together. It is suitable for all ages and can be staged indoors or outdoors.
The theatrical format can work well in cultural programmes and events with space for a staged performance. The venue and technical requirements can be discussed when planning the booking.
