Black Light Gospel brings gospel vocals, reworked popular classics and Rebeca Rods’ energy to celebrations and events.
Black Light Gospel brings gospel music to celebrations, parties and corporate gatherings, led by the energy of Rebeca Rods and the choir’s powerful vocals. The act pairs the spirit of gospel with familiar popular songs, reshaped through gospel arrangements. It suits events looking for a distinctive live choir with a set that can appeal to a broad audience.
Rebeca Rods creates the vocal arrangements, blending classic and contemporary material with a modern feel. The repertoire moves between traditional gospel, songs written by Rebeca and covers associated with Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, U2, Stevie Wonder, Leonard Cohen and Queen. Setlist titles include “Oh Happy Day”, “Amazing Grace”, “Hallelujah”, “Imagine”, “Let It Be” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”.
Black Light Gospel has released two albums: “Black Light Gospel Choir” and “Gospel Revolution”. Its experience includes collaborations with Alejandro Sanz, Pastora Soler, Raphael and Walt Disney, as well as television appearances and a performance at the Madrid Jazz Festival. The choir has also taken part in campaigns, events and tours, and supports projects connected with music therapy and charitable causes.
The choir can be considered for weddings, local festivals, company events and private celebrations seeking live gospel vocals and well-known songs. Its blend of gospel, funk, rock and soul can bring a lively or more uplifting feel, depending on the occasion.
