Barbarian bring old-school thrash metal to the stage, led by Pep Casas on guitar and vocals with Carles Badal on drums.
Barbarian are an old-school thrash metal band founded by guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Pep Casas. Their sound draws on classic thrash, while more recent work has moved towards harsher territory. The current line-up includes Pep Casas on guitar and vocals and Carles Badal on drums; both have been with the band for more than 20 years.
The live set is built around guitar, vocals and drums, with a forceful metal sound. Barbarian have released 11 albums and played festivals across Europe. They have also shared bills with established acts including Saxon, Kreator, Exodus, Tankard, Onslaught, UFO, Halloween, Omen, Epica and Tokyo Blade.
Old-school thrash metal is at the heart of the band’s style. Recent material has taken a heavier direction, with elements of black metal. Releases include Cross The Endless North Winter, Face The Barbarian and Santuari Apocalíptic.
Barbarian are suited to festivals, concerts and event programmes looking for live metal. They can also fit a public celebration with an audience for thrash and extreme sounds. The technical setup should account for guitar, bass, drums and microphones.
