Fire runs, street theatre and parades with live music, pyrotechnics and large-scale structures for public celebrations.
Associació Cultural Dimonis Rafolins creates fire-led street performances for town festivals and cultural events. Founded in 1994 by friends who shared a love of music and fire, the group has more than 25 years of experience. Its performances have taken place across the Valencian Community, elsewhere in Spain and abroad.
A correfoc unfolds in three stages: Sant Rorro summons the demons and beasts, the procession moves through the streets with pyrotechnic stops and mobile props, then a firework display brings the show to a close. Live percussion and dulzaina music accompany the action. The group also offers a children’s correfoc, stilt-walking parades and live tabal and dulzaina music.
El Somni de Posidó is a staged production combining dance, theatre and music with fire, lighting, visual effects and large-scale scenery. It is available in Valencian and Spanish. For a street parade, the marine-creature show brings out large figures of fish, a shark, a sea serpent and a pufferfish; some structures are over ten metres long. Other options include pyromusical shows, large-scale street theatre and fire-breathing parades.
These productions suit town fiestas, street arts programmes and cultural celebrations looking for live music and striking visuals. The group closed the Imaginarius Street Theatre Festival in Santa Maria da Feira in 2003 and the Fira de Tots Sants in Cocentaina in 2021.
The fee depends on the date, location, format and technical requirements. A correfoc requires supports for the pyrotechnics, a changing area with showers and the street lighting to be switched off along the route. El Somni de Posidó needs a 10-by-8-metre stage, a 60 kW power supply or generator, fencing and a changing space. Request a no-obligation quote; a proposal can be provided within 24 hours.
