Amaia Montero is a Spanish pop singer-songwriter, known for fronting La Oreja de Van Gogh before pursuing a solo career. Her distinctive voice is associated with songs that have remained part of Spanish pop across generations. Event organisers considering Amaia Montero can explore a catalogue that spans both chapters of her career.
As La Oreja de Van Gogh’s vocalist, she recorded several albums and sang on songs including “La playa”, “20 de enero”, “Rosas” and “Muñeca de trapo”. Her solo career began in 2008 and includes albums such as “2”, “Si Dios Quiere Yo también” and “Nacidos para creer”, as well as songs like “Quiero ser”, “Mirando al mar” and “Palabras”. Her collaborations include Alejandro Fernández, Miguel Bosé, Álex Ubago, Tiziano Ferro and Sergio Dalma.
Her pop repertoire draws on both her work with the band and her solo recordings. Other titles associated with her catalogue include “Cuídate”, “París”, “Puedes contar conmigo”, “Dulce locura”, “Caminando”, “Darte Mi Vida” and “Los Abrazos Rotos”.
Her music may suit weddings, town fiestas, private events and company celebrations looking for a recognisable voice and well-known Spanish pop songs. The performance format and arrangements are discussed in line with the event.
