Aly Alma Music brings jazz, soul and rock and roll to events, with options from a solo voice-and-guitar set to a full band.
Aly Alma Music offers live music rooted in African-American traditions, presented with a vintage look and an elegant, organic feel. The shows can accompany a wedding, dinner, private celebration or corporate event. Line-ups range from a solo voice-and-guitar performance to duo, trio and band formats.
The project offers several distinct shows: Merry Divas, a Christmas special; Dreamy Winehouse, an Amy Winehouse tribute; Soul&Rock Sessions; Jazz Divas Revival; and Alma Acoustic. Dreamy Winehouse is available as a full band with eight musicians and a technician, a five-piece core band with a technician, a trio or a duo. The largest line-up also includes its own technical crew.
The shows draw mainly on jazz, soul and rock and roll. Merry Divas pairs jazz standards with Christmas songs reworked in the style of the great jazz divas. Dreamy Winehouse pays tribute to Amy Winehouse with signature songs from her career and other pieces from her catalogue. Jazz Divas Revival and Soul&Rock Sessions take inspiration from artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin; Alma Acoustic draws on performers such as Lauryn Hill, Norah Jones and Tracy Chapman.
The range of line-ups makes it possible to choose an intimate set for dinner or a larger performance for a celebration. The group has its own sound and lighting equipment for small and medium-sized events, and requires a 220 V power supply.
