Acabamos de llegar pay tribute to Fito Cabrales’ solo career. The Barcelona-based project began in 2006 and has Fito’s support; he also designed the band’s logo. Their live show takes care over the details of rock and roll and runs for approximately two hours.
The group combines two guitars, bass, drums, percussion, tenor saxophone and keyboards. Juanito plays drums; Frank and Martí play guitar; Juande is on bass; Adri handles percussion; Roger plays tenor sax; and Ana performs on Hammond and piano. The added percussion gives the arrangement its own character while retaining the familiar band set-up of Fito & Fitipaldis.
The set revisits songs from Fito & Fitipaldis albums, including many of the band’s best-known tracks. It can work well at public festivals, weddings, private celebrations and corporate events for audiences who enjoy Spanish rock and roll. For events with more than 100 people, indoors or outdoors, the client supplies sound and lighting. The band has its own 500 W system for smaller indoor venues.
